My first poem: I wake up and wonder

I wake up and wonder, what is life?

While crossing the road, I realize the world will run even in my absence.

What meaning does all our effort hold?

Buildings will remain, and trees will grow taller.

Then, I greet an old man with a smile, and he returns it.

I greet the watchwoman; her smile makes me feel as if she'd been waiting just for me.

After fulfilling my duties, I feel an accomplishment—

a contribution to the community.

Then I realize, this is what my life is all about.
